A LONG-TIME New Yorker, Thomas Adcock began his magazine and newspaper career at the Detroit Free Press. He has written for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Chicago Today, the Toronto Telegram, the New York Times, and the New York Law Journal.

Currently, he is the U. S. correspondent for the Berlin-based CulturMag, an international journal of art and commentary.CulturMag Logo His books and short fiction have been translated into Japanese, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Swedish, Norwegian, Bahasa Indonesia, Finnish, Bulgarian, and CzechDark Maze

Thomas Adcock is the recipient of the Edgar Allan Poe Award given by Mystery Writers of America for his novel Dark Maze.

He offers editorial counsel to nonprofit organizations, law firms, and corporations. As a marketing research aide, he worked at the Madison Avenue advertising agency of Avrett, Free & Ginsberg. As an adjunct instructor, he taught journalism and creative writing at Temple University (Philadelphia), New York University, the New School for Social Research (NYC), and Borough of Manhattan College/City University of New York. He has been active in P.E.N. International, Mystery Writers of America, the Czech Writers Union, the James Joyce Society (Zürich), the Bertolt Brecht Society (Berlin and New York), and co-founded the U.S.-Canadian branch of the International Association of Crime Writers.
